My favorite project this year was definitely the first part of the Art Deco project. I thought that it was a lot f fun both trying to pick a great movie and make it fit the poster we chose. Finding similarities between the movie and our poster was also a lot of fun. The most useful thing that I learned this year would have to be the fact that more does not always mean better. This really helped because I realized that I had always been putting to many shapes and colors into my pieces, and now I realize that when I pull some of those pieces away. my overall project looks so much better. This fact will stick with me the rest of my life and I will definitely be remembering it in 10 years. Another thing I will remember in 10 years is that color is my friend.
In the beginning of the year, I didn't know much about how to organize my pieces so that they seemed more appealing. I didn't realize that if I tried different things that I could come up with cool ideas that help my artwork. I previously knew which basic colors worked together and how to use the basic tools of Illustrator and Photoshop.
Now that we have gotten through a few projects, I have learned much more. Now I have a better understanding of organization and color in my pieces. As any normal person can see, my pieces have gotten more complex and use different techniques and shapes. I wasn't aware there were so many different ways to change my piece. The most significant thing I have learned so far is the ability to tell whether my piece is balanced or not. This and other techniques have helped me improve greatly in my composing and usage of color. I'm gone. |
